Charity fundraiser night in aid of the Scottish Huntington's Association - 80's party night!

Following on from the success of 2013’s Charity Event, we decided to do an 80s night this time.  And what a night!  We had all sorts of outfits, from Boy George to Freddy Mercury, and even an 83 year old dressed as a punk! (My father in law)...

Big thanks to all who took part, and to everyone who worked so hard to make the night a success – Linda & Neil Scobie, and Megan McIvor.  And my mother in law, Betty Stewart, helped with the buffet. A proper family affair!

Any suggestions for 2015’s Charity Fundraiser?  Drop me a line!  Doesn’t have to feature me either, although I am happy to compere the night.

The money raised was over £1200!

Friday 15th March 2013 - Super Double Tribute Charity Show, Lodge Balfour Melville, Methil

This night was thought up and organised by myself and Al, my brilliant other half, to raise funds for the Scottish Huntington's Association.

To find out more about the condition, just click the logo above to visit their website.

I performed my "Joanie sings...Adele" tribute show for the first half of the evening, and received some amazing applause and feedback from all who attended. They seemed especially taken by my bespoke stage set up, which really set the mood for the night from the start.

The very talented Tom Scott agreed to give up a Friday night to come along and entertain us with his Tribute to Neil Diamond, for which we are very grateful.  He's the best I have seen, and well worth going along to see at any of his shows. If you haven't seen him perform "America" with his flags and willing audience members, you must go along to a show!

There are a number of businesses we have to thank for raffle prizes, donations and support for the show, as well as friends and family who worked tirelessly to make the night a success.  We made £1561.12!
