Saturday 29th September - Bridgeness
& Carriden
Bowling Club, Bo'Ness (with Ronnie from `Nickel
Bay`)
It's always a bit daunting to turn up
at a venue you've never played before - it's all the more scary when you are to
be performing as a duo with someone you've never met! I needn't have
worried though. Ronnie was nothing but helpful all through the night, and
my nerves soon died down.
I find it a bit scary when I don't know a tune very well but
have to harmonise or sing along with it, so my half hearted oohs and aahs were
maybe a bit quiet for the most part, but I don't think anyone really noticed
that much - they were even telling me Ronnie should take me on as his singer!
A bit cheeky, as Kenny (the other half of Nickel Bay) was away on holiday and I
was just filling in! Sometimes I think an audience just enjoys a wee
change now and then. It doesn't matter how.
I would be glad to do an act like this one on a regular
basis. Sharing the workload but doubling the act would be excellent.
I enjoyed doing different material too, and I have picked up a few song
suggestions from Ronnie.
So, all in all, a good night, if a little different for me.
Thanks Ronnie!
